The Reading Comprehension Program
Structured Support. Meaningful Practice. Stronger Readers.
The FairyCrossing Library Reading Comprehension Program is a 28-week supplemental literacy program designed to provide students with structured opportunities to practice and strengthen reading-comprehension skills while working with age-appropriate texts. Designed to complement—not replace—existing ELA instruction, the program provides participating schools and organizations with a structured approach to comprehension practice, progress monitoring, and student support.
Building Understanding One Story at a Time
The program gives students repeated opportunities to think about what they read, respond to comprehension questions, discuss their thinking, and gradually develop greater independence as readers.
Main Idea • Character Understanding • Sequencing • Prediction • Summarization • Text Evidence • Written Response • Critical Thinking
The program's flexible structure allows educators to use appropriate reading materials selected for their students while maintaining consistent comprehension practice.

28-Week Program Licensing
The FairyCrossing Reading Comprehension Program operates under a structured 28-week program license. Licensing is priced separately from individual student workbooks and provides authorized access to the program curriculum, instructional guides, and educator resources for the agreed-upon participating school or organization.
Note: At the conclusion of the 28-week license period, schools and organizations wishing to continue using the program must enter into a new licensing agreement. Continued implementation requires a current license.

Student Workbooks
The Comprehensive Reading Log is the student workbook used with the program and is purchased separately from the program license. Licensed schools and organizations receive access to discounted bulk-order pricing. When a school enters into a new licensing agreement for a subsequent program period, new student workbooks can also be ordered for participating students.
Designed to Complement Your Literacy Instruction
The FairyCrossing Reading Comprehension Program is designed as a supplemental literacy resource. It does not replace a school's existing ELA curriculum. Instead, it provides additional structured opportunities for students to apply important comprehension skills through reading, written responses, discussion, and reflection.
