Fairy Llanah’s Reading Corner is an interactive read-aloud experience designed to introduce young children to foundational reading-comprehension skills through stories, imagination, questions, and conversation.
Storytime With a Little More Thinking
Fairy Llanah does more than simply read stories. During each read-aloud, she encourages children to listen closely, think about what is happening, and interact with the story in an age-appropriate and encouraging way.
Make a Prediction
Before the story begins, Fairy Llanah invites children to look at the book cover and make a smart guess about what the story might be about.
Wait a Fairy Minute!
During the story, Fairy Llanah pauses at natural moments to ask three simple comprehension questions about characters, feelings, and the ending.
Thinking Time
Children are given a short pause to think and respond before Fairy Llanah continues.
Discover the Main Idea
At the end of the story, Fairy Llanah asks children what the story was mostly about and explains that this is called the main idea.
